Local Initiation Calendar
Blue Equinox Oasis offers initiations within the Man of Earth Triad throughout the calendar year. It is both a duty and an honor for us to offer these to new members and those who wish to extend and deepen their experience of the OTO. Currently, Blue Equinox Oasis offers initiations to the Minerval (or 0 Degree), I, II, and III Degrees.
Because of limitations on available officers and initiators, facilities, and equipment, Blue Equinox Oasis will adhere to the following schedule as of September 1, 2016 e.v. :
MINERVAL Degree initiations -- will be offered on an "as needed" basis, and scheduled when we have a sufficient number of candidates to schedule the ceremony. Please inquire if interested in affiliating to the Minerval Degree, as these are scheduled only when we have a sufficient number of candidates.
FIRST (I) Degree initiations -- will be offered in NOVEMBER and MAY of each year.
SECOND (II) Degree initiations -- will be offered in AUGUST and/or FEBRUARY of each year (see "II/III Split", below).
THIRD (III) Degree initiations -- will be offered in AUGUST and/or FEBRUARY of each year (see "II/III Split", below).
*** II/III SPLIT: Because the II and III Degree initiations happen less frequently, they will be offered on an alternating basis. After Blue Equinox performs I Degree initiations, a call will be put out for candidates for II Degree. If there are takers, II Degree will be scheduled. If not, III Degree will be offered. After the next I Degree ceremony, whichever Degree (either II or III) was not performed will be offered first. Thus, if II Degree initiations are performed in August, III Degree will be offered first come the following February. If neither degree is performed, the cycle will start over with II Degree. If you are interested in taking either of these degrees, it is necessary for you to contact us to confirm which degree is being offered at any given time. Please do not assume that one degree or another will be offered.
More detailed information about the initiation process can be found at the U.S. O.T.O. Grand Lodge website.
